APRIL 2011 --The Marblehead Community Housing Corporation has quietly pursued its mission of developing and managing affordable housing in Marblehead for the last twenty years. Perhaps we have been too quiet. Now, we ask that you join our MCHC Charity Night – 20 Years Celebration and support our efforts. We would like to raise $10,000… will you help?
Please join us for our MCHC Charity Night – 20 Years Celebration on April 26, 2011 – the fundraiser will be held at The Landing Restaurant in Marblehead, from 6:00-8:30pm. We will honor influential early supporters: Barry Weed, David Stern, National Grand Bank and Marblehead Bank. Proceeds will directly benefit the Marblehead Community Housing Corporation. Help us strengthen the Marblehead Community Housing Corporation as we enter our third decade.
We are a 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation, working in conjunction with the Marblehead Selectmen’s Fair Housing Committee. Since our inception, we have rehabilitated and managed various properties that include the Sewall Building, the 4-unit affordable apartment building that has housed almost 50 residents over the last 18 years. We provided First Time Home Buyer financial assistance to over one dozen, moderate income families purchasing affordable condominiums. We also purchased, rehabilitated and resold two affordable condominiums in town.
Join us for the MCHC Charity Night - 20 Years Celebration. The cost is $25.00 per person, ($30 at the door) that includes Hors D’oeuvres with Cash Bar plus an exciting charity auction. Should you like to stay for dinner, 20% of your bill will be donated by The Landing to MCHC. We appreciate any donated gifts that can be auctioned that evening.
All proceeds will directly benefit the Marblehead Community Housing Corporation.
With your help, the Marblehead Community Housing Corporation will be able to ensure that affordable housing opportunities remain in Marblehead.
